• The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree from

  • 1.  a recognized university, or

  • 2.  an institution established by an Act of Parliament or  State Legislature, or

  • 3. an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government of India.

• Final-year / appearing candidates are eligible to apply provided they can produce proof of passing the degree before the date of the interview / personality test, as specified in the notification.

How to Apply for UPSC CAPF (Assistant Commandant) 2026

1. 1. Visit the official online application portal of Union Public Service Commission.

2. 2. Complete One Time Registration (OTR) if you are a new user. This creates your permanent UPSC profile.

3. 3. Log in using your OTR details.

4. 4. Select the CAPF (Assistant Commandant) 2026 examination from the list.

5. 5. Fill in your personal details, educational qualification, and contact information carefully.

6. 6.  Upload a recent photograph and signature in the required format.

7. 7. Choose your exam centre and other preferences if asked.

8. 8. Pay the application fee online, if applicable. Some categories are exempt.

9. 9. Review all details once more and submit the form.

10. 10. Save or print the confirmation page for future reference.
